How much does shipping cost? Do you offer free shipping on home theater seating?

Seatcraft offers free curbside delivery on qualifying products, including home theater seating in rows of two or more, sofas, loveseats, lounge seating, cuddle chairs, and movie theater seats.
Free shipping does not apply to single recliners. Shipping costs for other products may vary based on item type and destination.

When will my order ship?

In-stock items typically ship within 1 business day. Orders placed on weekends or holidays are processed on the next business day.
If an item requires additional lead time, the estimated ship date will be clearly displayed on the product page at checkout. Once your order ships, you’ll receive a confirmation email with tracking information.

Where does Seatcraft ship home theater seating?

Seatcraft ships home theater seating throughout the contiguous United States. We also ship to Alaska, Hawaii, and international destinations for an additional fee.
For international orders, we recommend shipping to a U.S. freight terminal. Customers can then arrange international ocean freight with their preferred carrier.

What shipping and delivery options does Seatcraft offer?

We offer two delivery options for home theater furniture:

  • Curbside delivery (standard)
  • White glove delivery (available for an additional fee on eligible products)

Each option is designed to accommodate different delivery and setup needs.

How does white glove delivery work?

White glove delivery includes in-room placement, unboxing, assembly, and removal of packaging. This service can be selected during checkout for eligible products.

  • Transit time to your local distribution center is typically about 14 business days.
  • After that, the white glove delivery team will contact you within 2–3 business days to schedule delivery.
  • White glove delivery may take 1–2 additional business days compared to curbside delivery.

Delivery includes placement in your room of choice and up to one flight of stairs (up or down).

How does curbside delivery work?

Curbside delivery typically takes about 14 business days from our warehouse to your local distribution center.

  • Once your order arrives, the carrier will contact you within 2–3 business days to schedule delivery.
  • Delivery is made to the end of the curb using an 18-wheeler. Customers are responsible for moving items inside, assembly, and removing packaging. Delivery drivers are not permitted to enter the home, garage, or climb stairs.

Please note that curbside delivery requires truck-accessible locations. If your address has limited access, contact us before ordering so we can help determine a suitable solution.

Can I upgrade to white glove delivery after my order has shipped?

Once an order has shipped, we cannot guarantee an upgrade from curbside to white glove delivery.
If you request an upgrade after shipment, any rerouting fees (minimum $100, potentially higher depending on the carrier) will be the customer’s responsibility. Delivery changes may also result in longer lead times.

Do you have in-stock home theater seats ready to ship?

Shipping times vary depending on the product, and the estimated delivery timeframe is listed on each individual product page.
Some models are in stock and ready to ship within 1–2 business days, while others may require additional processing or production time before shipment.

Do you offer scheduled delivery appointments?

Yes. Your delivery carrier will contact you to schedule a delivery date and time.
Delivery appointments are typically offered within a 4-hour window, Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Weekend delivery is not available. Drivers will not arrive without confirming an appointment in advance.

My tracking shows an estimated delivery date. Is that when my order arrives at my home?

No. The estimated delivery date shown in tracking refers to when your order arrives at the freight carrier’s local distribution center, not your home.
After arrival, the carrier will contact you within 2–3 business days to schedule final delivery. White glove delivery may add 1–2 additional business days.

What should I do if my home theater furniture arrives damaged?

Please inspect your order immediately upon delivery and take clear photos of any damage. Photos are required for replacement parts or products.
Make sure the delivery driver notes all damage or missing items on the freight bill before signing. Damage or shortage claims must be reported within 48 hours of delivery. Claims submitted after this window cannot be accepted.

Does Seatcraft offer custom home theater seating or media lounge sofas?

Seatcraft offers customization through our Your Choice by Seatcraft program. This program allows customers to select from an expanded range of colors and feature options for home theater seating and media lounge sofas.

Custom orders do not include custom chair dimensions or sizing. Due to the made-to-order nature of these products, extended production and shipping lead times apply.

If you need your seating quickly, we recommend choosing from our in-stock products that ship within 24 hours.

How do I know Seatcraft received my online order?

Once your order is placed, you’ll receive an initial order confirmation email from Seatcraft.

As your order moves through our warehouse, you’ll receive an additional confirmation outlining next steps.

Orders placed on weekends or holidays are processed on the next business day. When your order ships, you’ll receive a final shipping confirmation email with tracking details.

Can I change the color of my Seatcraft order after placing it?

Changes to Your Choice by Seatcraft custom orders must be made within 2 business days of purchase.

Requests made after this window may incur additional fees.

For in-stock color options, changes are allowed as long as the order has not yet shipped.

Can I cancel my Seatcraft order?

Unshipped orders may be cancelled within 2 business days of placing the order.

  • In-stock orders may incur a processing fee if cancellation requires returning the product to warehouse inventory.
  • Custom orders may incur a 30% restocking fee once production has begun.
  • Two-tone custom products are subject to a 50% restocking fee.
  • Shipped orders are subject to shipping, return shipping, and restocking fees.
    Clearance items are final sale and cannot be cancelled.

If your product has been unboxed, used, or is no longer in new condition, please contact our customer support team for assistance.

Can I exchange my home theater furniture for a different color or style?

Due to the size and shipping requirements of home theater seating and media lounge furniture, exchanges are not available.

If you wish to make a change, we recommend cancelling or returning your order (if eligible) and placing a new order.

Our customer support team is happy to assist with the process.
Exchanges for delivered items are not accepted.

Do you offer an extended warranty on home theater seating?

Most products come with a 1-year limited manufacturer’s warranty. Warranty coverage details are available on our website or the manufacturer’s site.

For added peace of mind, we also offer an optional Guardian 5-Year Protection Plan for an additional fee on most products. To add extended warranty coverage, please contact us before your order is delivered.

Does Seatcraft offer financing options?

Yes. Seatcraft offers financing through Affirm, allowing you to break your purchase into manageable monthly payments.

Will the color of my home theater seating match what I see online?

Yes. Seatcraft product photos are professionally shot and carefully reviewed by our product team to accurately represent each material and color option.
That said, screen settings and lighting can vary. For added confidence, we offer free material swatch samples on most product pages so you can see and feel the upholstery before ordering.

Ordering a swatch is the best way to ensure your selected color and material meet your expectations.

Can I order replacement parts for my Seatcraft home theater seats?

Yes, select replacement parts are available for Seatcraft home theater seating. At this time, backrests and armrests are not considered replaceable components.

Before requesting replacement parts, please review the product manual included with your furniture and consult our video troubleshooting guides, as many issues can be resolved quickly.

To request replacement parts, have your order number and product details ready. Replacement parts are only supplied for products purchased directly through Seatcraft.

Do Seatcraft home theater seats connect together?

Seatcraft home theater seats are free-standing and do not require physical connectors. Seats are designed to slide neatly next to one another to create a clean, uniform row.

Each chair includes rubber foot pads that help keep seats in place on most flooring surfaces while also protecting hardwood, tile, or carpet.

How heavy are home theater seats and sofas? Can I move them myself?

Individual home theater seats typically weigh 100–200 lbs. Sofas, loveseats, and sectionals generally weigh 200–400 lbs, depending on size and configuration.
We strongly recommend having at least 2 adults to move individual seats and 3–4 adults for sofas or sectionals. If assistance is limited, white glove delivery is highly recommended and should be selected before placing your order.

How much space do I need for back-row home theater seating?

Most standard Seatcraft home theater seats require a minimum 28-inch doorway opening. Larger back-row seating configurations may require up to a 36-inch opening.
Because seating must be tilted and maneuvered through doorways and hallways, ensure hallways provide at least 36 inches of clearance, especially in tight turns or stairwells.

Should I use a riser for multi-row home theater seating?

Yes. For multi-row home theater layouts, a riser helps ensure clear sightlines over the front row.
Seatcraft offers theater risers in 7-inch and 14-inch heights, available in multiple carpet colors. We also offer tiered home theater seating, where risers are integrated directly into the seating base for a streamlined installation.

Can I order home theater seating in sofa or loveseat configurations?

Yes. Most Seatcraft home theater chairs can be configured as loveseats or sofas, allowing you to create multi-seat layouts that fit your room and seating needs.
Please note that for armless chairs and certain loveseat configurations, the recline control switch is located between the seats rather than on an armrest. In these configurations, USB charging ports may not be available, as USB ports are only included in armrest-mounted control panels.

What is the difference between curved and straight row home theater seating?

Straight rows feature seats aligned in a straight line and generally require less floor space, making them ideal for smaller media rooms. However, viewers seated at the ends of wider straight rows may experience reduced screen visibility.
Curved rows are arranged in a gentle arc, improving sightlines for end seats and creating a more immersive viewing experience. Curved rows typically take up more space and are best suited for dedicated home theaters with wider room layouts.

How far should home theater seats be positioned from the screen?

A common guideline is to place seating 1.5 to 2.5 times the diagonal size of your screen away from the display, with approximately a 30-degree viewing angle from the seated position.
For example, a 40-inch TV is typically viewed best from a distance of 5 to 8.3 feet. Viewing distance recommendations are a helpful starting point, but personal comfort and room size should always be considered.

Can cupholder lights and LED baselights be controlled separately?

Cupholder lighting and LED baselighting share the same power source and control switch. Turning the lighting on or off will activate both the cupholder lights and the base lighting simultaneously.

Do you sell home theater seats as single recliners?

Yes. Many of our most popular home theater seating models are available as single recliners.
Single recliners do not qualify for free shipping and require a $199 shipping fee per seat.

What are Spacesaver home theater seats?

Spacesaver home theater seats are designed with slimmer inside armrests, allowing each seat to take up less space without sacrificing comfort. This reduced footprint lets you fit more seats in a smaller room while making your home theater feel more open and spacious.

How do I troubleshoot an issue with my home theater seating?

Most Seatcraft home theater seating includes a product manual with step-by-step assembly and troubleshooting instructions. We also provide video troubleshooting guides on our website for common issues.

Can I exit a home theater seat while it is reclined?

For safety and to prevent damage, we do not recommend exiting a home theater recliner while it is in the reclined position. Always return the chair to its fully upright position before standing up.
